McIntosh Residence
The existing builder’s dated master bath was an open canvas for designer, Pat Caufield, who evoked the owner’s love of Italy in color and texture. The existing bathtub/ shower was expanded into a shower space with thermostatic controls, teak folding seat and river stone floor. The shower floor was double-sloped to achieve maximum water protection. Grab bars, lever handles, and a comfort height toilet offer additional security for the homeowner for years to come. The floor warming system is not only comfortable on the feet but also provides a safety feature by helping to evaporate any water on the floor . All fixtures and flooring removed during demolition were donated for reuse.
